The Distance Between Two Breaths
We drop in on the space between the out-breath and the in-breath, this empty space in between, to take note of how one follows the other without the need for the mind to be involved at all. Then we connect with the fact that we are mostly space, and if we were to remove the space from the stuff which we are made of, all humanity would be the size of a sugar cube. We then invite on the in-breath an awareness of the suffering which is also contained in that sugar cube of matter and with it the awareness of the wish to be free of that suffering. We breathe out through the heart the healing which that suffering calls towards it.
